Add non-steam games to Win7 taskbar
To add a non-steam game so it works with steam and creating a shortcut on your Windows 7 taskbar, follow these instructions. After installing the non-steam game, add it to steam using Steam; Library ->Games -> Add non Steam Game to my Library Then create a short cut by locating the game in the library, right click on it and create desktop shortcut. This short cut is no good for adding to the taskbar but gives vital information for the next step. Locate the shortcut and copy the number after /rungameid/. Only the number is needed. Next, create a copy of the steam shortcut and bring up the properties. Add "-gameidlaunch xxxxxx" where xxxxx is the number from the previous action. eg: the Target should look something like this; "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -gameidlaunch 14179558322725715968 After saving (clicking ok) the shortcut should be able to be moved to the taskbar and launch the game correctly.
